What do you think of the new Tesco? Will it have a damaging effect on the village?
Gerrards Cross Tesco plans revealed

AN ARTIST’S impression of the Gerrards Cross Tesco has been released, showing what the store will look like when it eventually opens.
The shop, which is currently being built in Packhorse Road, is due to open at the end of the year.
It has been the subject of massive controversy since it was first announced that it was being built, but this is the first time that residents have been able to see what the shop will look like.
Many fear that it will have a negative impact on the village’s other shops, and it out of character with the surrounding area.
However, Tesco have always claimed that this will not be the case.
Terry Grant, 40, said: “I think it looks OK. I can see it fitting in quite well. I think a lot of people were worried that it would be a bit of a blot on the landscape, but if the store looks like it does on this picture, I think it will be fine.
“I think a lot of people in this village just want the shop to be finished now, because we’re sick of it being a building site. The sooner it opens the better.”
However, June Thompson, 52, said: “I don’t like the look of it at all. I think that it’s a bit of an eyesore, and I’d imagine it will look worse than it does on the artist’s impression anyway.
“You can see from the picture that it’s a huge shop, and I think it will look really out of place here.
“There’s nothing we can do about it now though, I suppose residents of Gerrards Cross will just have to put up with it.”
The shop is expected to open in December this year, five years after the tunnel which the shop is being built over collapsed.
