Come and taste Chalfont Chillies!

Come along to Fisher’s of Gerrards Cross on Thursday 23rd December 2010 from 11am to 9pm to taste the fabulous home made chutneys and seasonal delicacies from Chalfont Chillies, one of 40 local suppliers.

“Our aim is to create traditional, tasty homemade food with a twist..

“Chalfont Chillies are based in Chalfont St Peter, hence the name and started when we made our original Chilli Oil for friends, neighbours & family one Christmas. Rather than buy gifts, the idea of something homemade and home grown was too good to ignore.

“We started from scratch with one F1 Hybrid Chilli plant, now 2 years on and after many trials, we grow 3 main types of Chillies from seed and make 16 very popular accompaniments, such as Chilli Sauces, Chutneys, Pickled Onions and Piccalilli. We also produce bespoke flavours depending on quantity or the season. All our products have an element of chilli in the recipe, some hotter than others! All are tested by a small band of local volunteers and spiceaholic work colleagues.

“We grow the majority of our own ingredients from chillies to vegetables including beans, courgettes, tomatoes and our own herbs and source everything we cannot grow locally. Our product is available via this website, selected farm shops and a small number of local shows and fairs, not forgetting those who know us personally.

“We will try to list any events we are attending in the news section, along with new and or seasonal products.

Dee & Barrie”
