About Us

The Fisher family have been trading since at least 1750, when John Fisher was a cattle drover and meat dealer based in Aylesbury.  We have a few stories to tell about what has happened since then, check out our history page!

We run an independent supermarket in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire.  The family are still actively involved in the day to day running of the business with Paul and Sam Fisher taking over the reigns from Paul’s father, Bill in 2008.

Paul has worked for the family firm since 2008.  He previously worked in Oxford for a chartered surveyor practice in commercial property, where he met his wife, Sam.

Paul and Sam run the shop with the help of Richard Birch, the store manager.  Richard joined the firm in 2010 and brings with him 20 years experience in retailing.  Between the three of them, they oversea the vision of the business and the future development plans.

One of the main departments in the shop is the Butchery counter, which is managed by David Marshall.  David has been a butcher for over 45 years and has a vast experience running his own shops and managing Fisher’s meat factory in Watford.  David was employed to the firm by Paul’s grandfather, Charles.

Marie Lemm has 20 years experience in fresh produce and runs our Greengrocery department, with the help of a team of dedicated staff.

Dan Gifford is currently supervising the Delicatessen and is undergoing a management training programme.  He joined Fisher’s in 2008 as a Saturday boy, quickly progressing to Bakery assistant and Delicatessen assistant before taking on the Supervisor role and starting his training.

The members of the management team ensure the smooth running of the whole operation and are keen to get to know you.  Please pop in to say hello and we will show you around the store!

Thank you

Paul and Sam Fisher
